Business partners restaurateur Gene Montesano and Leslee Russell combine perfectly matched sensibilities to operate this bastion of culinary enjoyment.

CULINARY COUPLE
Montesano’s Italian background and Russell’s Jewish heritage combine in a best-of-both-worlds deli menu ranging from Italian cold cuts, meatball sandwiches and Roman-signature piadina, to Jewish favorites lox and bagels, Reuben and pastrami sandwiches, and matzo ball soup.    

SWEETLY TWO-FACED
Order breakfast or lunch at the deli side, eat indoors or out, and then roam the “other side” —  the market, with its beautifully curated collection of artisanal olive oils, prepared sauces, pastas, sweets, linen napkins, Laguiole cutlery and much more.

You’ll find a wine for any occasion from the collection featuring hard-to-find allocated wines from Antinori, as well as other selections from Italy, France, and Santa Barbara County, and the too-much-fun signature Oy Vey Rosé, and wines by the glass.
