You could call Deborah Hall the accidental winemaker. When she left Los Angeles, retiring to a former lima bean farm up a canyon in the Santa Rita Hills, she had no plans to grow grapes. In fact, she didn’t even know she was in wine country, much less the heart of what would soon emerge as the hot new cradle of Pinot Noir civilization. Buoni-Anni

Buoni Anni

2008 SANGIOVESE • SANTA YNEZ VALLEY A classic Sangiovese in all of its varietally complex glory, reflective of a true Rosso de Montalcino – dry, lean and complex. The typical Sangiovese aromas of spice and violets are here; complemented by ripe, earthy currants and black cherry with a wonderful silky texture. The tannins and firm acidity are present but integrated. The grapes come from premium Santa Ynez Valley vineyards. The firm but benevolent framework with a compliment of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot means its drinkable now, as the acidity and smooth tannins have resolved after 20 months in large neutral French oak puncheons. Buoni Anni is the companion wine to the estate Sangiovese which will be called Cent' Anni and will be released in 2013. Aging - 20 months in neutral puncheons Varietals - 96% Sangiovese, 2% Cabernet, 2% Merlot Alcohol - 14.5% • Ph - 3.62 Cases Produced - 350

Giracci

2006 MERLOT • PASO ROBLES Giracci is the creation of Chad and Linda Kearns of Orange Country California  who had a dream to produce their own wines. Their commitment to their dream to seek and find the right vineyards for the varietals of choice became a reality after evaluating the AVA's and vineyards that addressed their requirements. This wine demonstrates a beautiful intense ruby red color and a bouquet of fruit. The oak is delicately balanced without masking the flavors of the fruit, and traditional in style with a very smooth long finish and crisp tannins for structure. Aging - 18 months in barrel   Alcohol - 15.5% • Ph - 3.6 Cases Produced - 250
