Tupelo Junction Cafe’s concept is simple, superb food in a casual atmosphere with a fantastic “Locals Only” wine list. The setting is a more a café than a restaurant, but do not be fooled into thinking they are casual about their food. Bon Appetit recently came to Santa Barbara, and selected Tupelo Junction Café as one of their featured restaurants. The cuisine is best described as Americana with a southern influence hence the name Tupelo Junction, which is a historical landmark in Mississippi and the birthplace of Elvis Presley. Signature dishes include the fried chicken salad with cornbread, dried cranberries, pumpkin seeds, and herbed buttermilk dressing, which is immensely popular with the locals, and a blackened molasses salmon with white beans.
