What a show
My husband and I enjoyed a delightful holiday meal over the holidays at Stella Mares. Everything was wonderful, but what made the night was a show put on by the manager. He wasn't doing his presentation at our table, but we had a great view and it was amazing. He created two different drinks complete with flames being poured from one glass to the next. The effect was very dramatic and the looks on the faces of the young men at the immediate table was priceless. Great entertainment that made our night memorable.

Beautiful Night, Beautiful Food and Beautiful People
Could not have picked a better place for my husband and I to celebrate our wedding anniversary, 20 years and going. My SB girlfriend said this was the place for a romantic night, and she could not have been more right. The night was starry and with the glass ceiling, the ambiance was stunning. Our food was absolutely delicious, and we felt like young lovers tasting each other dishes and feeding each other. The services was always there when you wanted something but never intrusive. We had a fabulous time, thanks Stella Mares for making our night memorable.

Everything was wonderful
This is our favorite restaurant in SB. We love the glass section of the restaurant and the views of the bird refuge. The food is always consistently delicious and the service is perfect. Would highly recommend to all our friends. Don't change anything, we love it as it is.

Everything was very good
Had a lovely dinner at Stella Mares last night, and everything was very good. We started with the grilled artichokes, a personal favorite, and had the entrees of lamb, rib-eye, filet, salmon and halibut. Everyone raved about their meals and how well prepared they were. The mashed potatos were very tasty as well. The wine list was a little lopsided with the cheapest pinot being over $50 for not very good wines, so we had to spend more than we wanted on a good bottle. The ambiance was wonderful and the service was attentive.

Family Tradition
I visit my family in Santa Barbara several times a year. We love dining here. It is so lovely, especially during the holiday season. We have a tradition of dining here at Christmas. The food is always good and great service. We have been eating here since the grandchildren were very young and it has become a favorite of everyone in the family. The fireplace is always welcoming. Great ambiance.

It's all about the bisque!!!
Hands-down the best lobster bisque in town, and a generous portion. Sitting in the glassed-in dining room on a sunny or rainy day with a view of the bird refuge is something that any SB local or visitor should not miss.
