Sly’s in Carpinteria, one of the best Santa Barbara restaurants, has a fixed price menu offering three carefully selected courses that are on a French theme. This is one of Chef James’ passions ever since he spent a couple of years in his youth working in Paris, Monte Carlo, and EugĂ©nie-les-Bains. This week frog legs, duck breast, filet of trout or pork filet are featured at $35 for three courses, or $55 for three courses with sparkling wine and two glasses of wine, the menu represents a great deal. Sly’s even offers 10% off any bottle of their extensive French wine list with the purchase of a fixed price menu. “It’s been a lot of fun for us to “change things up” and do something a little different, says Chef James, and we think it’s nice to offer a place with great French food for such a reasonable price.”
