Anchor Woodfire Kitchen, will be located at 119 State Street, in the newly renovated Indigo Hotel and hopes to be one of Santa Barbara’s newest dining hot spots. With a rustic, comfortable atmosphere, this new eatery will appeal to the casual or discerning diner. Menu items will include wood fired pizzas and oak grilled rock fish, as well as stylish hand crafted cocktails. Chef/owner Jason Tuley will change his seasonal menu daily, and source his ingredients from California’s best farms and ranches. Jason has brought on David Barnwell to head up the seasonal cocktails list and vast wine selection. Opening this November, Anchor will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days a week and feature patio seating on State Street.
In the meantime, they are having a Dragonette Wine Dinner on September 7th with Corks n’ Crowns located in the Funk Zone. The event is a five course culinary delight with appetizers and each course is paired with a tasty wine. Courses include squid ink spagettini, oak grilled devils gulch quail, whole grilled lamb, coppa di testa and roasted fig crostatta.
