Griffin Publishing originated in 1998, when Phillip Janney and his family moved back to Santa Barbara from Seattle, WA. Having attended UC Santa Barbara, he always intended to raise his family in the wonderful and small community of Santa Barbara.
The 1990′s provided tremendous change to Santa Barbara, one being the huge influx of new restaurants – as many as 300 today. With so many new restaurants, Phillip knew he wasn’t the only person who felt overwhelmed by trying to pick the right restaurant. Hence, Santa Barbara Dining and Destinations was born and to this day it continues to showcase our areas finest restaurants.
However, restaurants is just one section in our magazine. We showcase the areas best art galleries, home stores and fashion boutiques. And our latest section of 10 at the Top features a sampling of our finest citizens.
